Sunday 05/12-04 the third round of the Pilegĺrds-cup was held in Brřndby, just outside Copenhagen. This race was not only for 1:10 scale cars, but also saw lots of M-18 cars, both stock and modified.
In the modified 1:10 class it was a very close battle between Soeren Boy Holst (Xray), Michael Praest (Xray) and Martin Ring (Yokomo).

After the 3 rounds of qualifying, Soeren was only 2 seconds from the track record, set by Steen Graversen at the last race. Michael was 3 seconds behind, with Martin holding on to his taillights.

The first final was a VERY close and exciting final, between Soeren and Martin. Soeren had to fight with a little understeering, so Martin was all over the rear end of Soeren’s car. The final was very clean and fair, all the way through, giving the spectators a good show with superb driving. – At the end Soeren made a little gap, and won the first final, ahead of Martin. Michael lost a wheel, and had to retire.

Second final should be very exciting again, but this time the battle was on between Michael and Soeren. Soeren made a mistake on second lap, and Michael grapped the lead right away. This time it was Soeren’s who had to be the chasing car, and he was trying to pass everywhere, and only 2 seconds behind was Martin, just waiting for the two front runners to make a mistake.
30 seconds left and Michael opened a tiny gap – Soeren hammered the throttle down, and found just enough space to pass, taking the victory of the heat, and the race. – Very close and exciting again, and a nice clean race.

Third final should decide second and third place. Michael had a good start and took the lead from Martin, but at the end of the heat, Martin was closing in. Michael made a minor mistake, but unlucky as he could be, he lost a camber link, so Martin could just cruise home for the overall second place.
Actually Michael dropped down to fourth place, as he had 2 DNF.

Total result in the modified class:
1. Soeren Boy Holst Xray T1FK

2. Martin Ring Yokomo
3. Caspar Morgen Tamiya
4. Michael Praest Xray T1R
5. Kim Lindegaard Xray T1EvoII

In the 27T stock class the battle was also very close. Nils Jensen (Xray) took the TQ spot, ahead of Kenneth Jensen (Xray) and Lauge Mortensen (Yokomo). – The finals showed lots of crashes, but also close racing and very exciting battles. The most spectacular was Martin ‶The Swede※ SĹ™rensen who once again had been very drunk the day before. Martin started from 7th position, and took the third place in first final, and in the second final Martin was on 2. place until the last corner before the finish line, where he was blocked from a backmarker and dropped down to 4. place. In the last final he was third again, giving the overall 4th place.

Total results in the 27T stock class:
1. Nils Jensen Xray T1R

2. Lauge Mortensen Yokomo
3. Jim Johansen Yokomo
4. Martin Soerensen Xray T1R
5. Kenneth Jensen Xray T1R
